About the role

As a Buyer at Sifvert Skruv AB, you will become a key player in ensuring a broad and technical assortment, primarily of fastening materials, for customers in the manufacturing industry who place high demands on delivery precision and service.

You are responsible for both operational and tactical purchasing work and collaborate closely with sales, warehouse, and the Purchasing Manager. The role is very varied and covers everything from delivery monitoring and supplier contacts to other daily operational tasks. Today, several processes are manual, but we work strongly as a company and team to digitize and automate workflows moving forward. Therefore, it is important that you are agile and involved in the development. Strength lies in the team.

You work in an organization with short decision-making paths, a strong culture, and a clear focus on quality, service, and long-term relationships, both with customers and suppliers.

Your responsibilities:

• Execute purchases and put suppliers out to tender as needed, based on forecasts and inventory strategy.
• Manage supplier relationships, primarily in Europe but also in Asia.
• Follow up on deliveries, prices, and terms, as well as handle discrepancies and complaints.
• Handle inbound deliveries and customs-related issues.
• Collect and analyze purchasing data as a basis for decision-making.
• Contribute to improvement projects related to purchasing processes, systems, and working methods.
• Participate in market surveillance and identification of new suppliers and opportunities.

To succeed and thrive in this role, you need to be able to prioritize, manage deliveries and deadlines, take initiative, but also dare to ask for help when needed. You are unpretentious and enjoy working practically with purchasing, have technical understanding, and an interest in solving problems together with others.

Additionally, you have:

• At least 3 years of experience in purchasing, preferably from technical trade or wholesale.
• Good system familiarity and very good knowledge of Excel.
• Confidence in communicating with suppliers and experience working with both standard and special products.
• Fluent communication in both Swedish and English, orally and in writing.
• Experience with customs procedures and import flows is an advantage.
• Post-secondary education in purchasing, logistics, or economics is an advantage.

The position is full-time and located in Västberga, southern Stockholm. After an introduction period, you have the opportunity to work remotely 1 day per week. We apply a 6-month probation period. You work in a small, cohesive team where decision-making paths are short, and you report to the Purchasing Manager.

This role is fundamentally an office-based position. You work closely with colleagues who are on-site, and especially during the first year, when you are learning a lot of new things, presence in the office is important. From the second year onwards, we open up for working from home one fixed day per week.
