Your responsibilities

In this role, you will work both strategically and operationally with purchasing. You are responsible for developing supplier collaborations and commercial terms, while ensuring that materials, components, and services are in place at the right time.

Strategic purchasing and supplier development

• Negotiate framework agreements, price revisions, and delivery terms.
• Work on supplier development, scorecards, and supplier assessments.
• Develop and negotiate supplier agreements and quality agreements with support from the CEO in major deals.
• Monitor the raw material market, especially aluminum, steel, and other key materials.
• Drive category management and improvement projects.

Operational purchasing and material flow

• Handle requisitions, order placement, and delivery monitoring.
• Be responsible for raw material inventory, inventory control, inbound deliveries, and material availability.
• Maintain daily dialogue with suppliers regarding deliveries, deviations, and quality issues.
• Handle claims against suppliers in collaboration with the quality team.

Trading and business-oriented follow-up

• Work with trading activities related to margins and suppliers.
• Handle operational issues within orders, delivery, and invoicing related to trading.
• Contribute to better structure, profitability, and supplier selection in the area.

Collaboration and internal coordination

• Collaborate closely with technology, planning, production, and logistics.
• Conduct regular check-ins regarding material needs and customer deliveries.
• Report to the Production Manager and have dialogue with the CEO on strategic matters.

Worth knowing

The position is located at Brightec Production AB in Mullhyttan and is a permanent full-time position. Start date is as soon as possible by agreement. You report to the Production Manager and work closely with the CEO, technology, production, and logistics. The role requires on-site presence, but some flexibility may be possible after the introduction period. Travel occurs in connection with supplier visits, primarily in Sweden and Europe, including the Baltic states.

Our expectations

We are looking for you who have at least two years of experience in purchasing within the manufacturing industry, preferably in a role where you have combined strategic and operational work. You have experience negotiating prices and delivery terms independently and are accustomed to requisitions, order placement, and delivery monitoring in business systems. You have technical understanding and can read drawings and technical specifications for mechanical components.

You are confident in reading, commenting on, and suggesting adjustments to framework agreements and quality agreements. You do not need to be a lawyer, but you understand how contracts affect the business, deliveries, and supplier collaboration. You have very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have experience from mechanical workshops, contract manufacturing, or a similar small industrial environment. Post-secondary education in purchasing, logistics, economics, or technology is also positive. Knowledge of aluminum, steel, LME pricing, Monitor, trading activities, international suppliers, or supplier development processes such as APQP is valuable.

As a person, you are broad, structured, and non-hierarchical. You enjoy switching between negotiation, follow-up, requisitions, and problem-solving, and you can prioritize when many issues are moving simultaneously. You are business-minded, solution-oriented, and have integrity in dialogue with suppliers. At the same time, you are a team player who contributes to good collaboration and takes responsibility in an organization where everyone helps each other.
