At Vardaga Villa Salabacke, we are now looking for a Nursing Assistant for our dementia department and care department. The position is a temporary role at 68.26% and 79.63%. We offer training and several benefits.

About Villa Salabacke

In the autumn of 2017, the new elderly and dementia residence Villa Salabacke (formerly Salabacke Plaza) opened in Uppsala with 72 apartments.

At Villa Salabacke, there is a large common area where we meet to socialize. This can involve activities such as exercise or painting, or we celebrate holidays or drink afternoon coffee while playing bingo. Villa Salabacke also has two roof terraces that we use to stimulate all the senses of the residents.

• We are a dementia-certified residence, which means that everyone who works here is trained in dementia and interaction through Vardaga's Dementia Academy.
• We have a collaboration with the company Ung Omsorg. This means that a team of young people aged 14–18 visits us on weekends and holidays. Ung Omsorg organizes various activities to add extra value to the lives of our residents.
• You have a group leader who spends most of their time working closely with you in the operations. Becoming a group leader can also be a career opportunity for you as a nursing assistant.

As a nursing assistant, you are extremely important! Your task is to provide quality of life. With your help, our residents can maintain their lifestyle and habits. You see every person and interpret what they need. At the same time, you learn a lot about care, aging, and how to interact with people.

You are closest to the resident and thus have a key role in the team with the nurse, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist. You also participate in care planning and write social documentation.

Your experience and knowledge
We prefer that you are a trained nursing assistant and have worked a few years in elderly care. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are also meritorious. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing is a requirement, but otherwise, your CV is not the most important thing. If you share our values and have the right qualities, we will give you support and the opportunity to grow.
