We are now looking for permanent nursing assistants for the clinic.

About You

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant and have several years of work experience. Experience of working in healthcare or emergency care is meritorious but not a requirement.

The work is occasionally demanding and requires stress tolerance and prioritization skills. You can take initiative to solve and handle the situations that arise. As a person, you are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. You behave professionally in all respects and meet patients, colleagues, and partners in a humble and respectful manner.

You have a commitment to wanting to develop and improve and have a positive attitude that contributes to a good work environment.

Your Future Workplace

The Emergency Clinic at Kalmar County Hospital provides 24/7 emergency care for both individuals who seek the emergency department themselves and those who arrive via ambulance. We collaborate with most clinics at the hospital, the ambulance service, the police, the prison service, social services, other hospitals, and home care services in nearby municipalities.

Our clinic consists of two parts:

The Emergency Reception: At the emergency reception, we work in teams consisting of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, porters, with administrative support from medical secretaries and clerks. You participate in the assessment, treatment, and care of people seeking the emergency clinic. This is also where triage is located, which is the first contact with patients. We work with triage according to Retts to handle patients at the right level of care and in a timely manner, as far as possible.

The Acute Care Ward (AVA): is a hospital-wide resource with 14 care beds. It is a 24-hour ward where we investigate and treat patients who need continued observation and/or short-term care for a maximum of one day. We have close cooperation with the geriatric advisory team located at the emergency clinic.

Kalmar County Hospital is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. The hospital is an acute hospital with specialist care, maternity care, and neonatal care. Over 2,300 people work here to offer good care and high patient safety to the county's inhabitants.
