Our Operations

The maternity ward is looking for midwives to join a department where collaboration, development, and patient safety are the focus. Our operations are built on close cooperation between our various units, and we continuously work to further develop both our operations and our working methods. At the maternity ward in Skövde, midwives, nursing assistants, and doctors work together in patient-centered teams to provide safe, professional, and individualized care.

There is an opportunity for rotation between the maternity ward and the maternity/gynecology department, which provides varied work and the possibility for broad competence development within women's healthcare and care for the newborn.

Here, you will encounter a department with broad competence and varied assignments. The maternity ward handles births and all types of pregnancy and birth complications. We admit babies born from gestational week 30 onwards and offer medical care with high safety standards, while valuing a person-centered approach and individually tailored nursing care for each family. As a midwife here, you will work in an stimulating environment where you are a vital part of the care chain before, during, and after birth.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a registered midwife. Experience working in maternity care and/or the neonatal unit is meritorious. You have good collaboration skills, are confident working independently, and thrive in a dynamic environment where the pace can sometimes be high. We value a professional attitude, a positive approach, and strong personal suitability.

Other Information

We work all hours of the day and night. We always check the suspicion and burden register before employment; the extract is ordered by the employer. Interviews will be conducted continuously, so do not wait to submit your application!
