Björklingegården is located in a pleasant villa area in Björklinge, two miles north of Uppsala. Here, social contact is close at hand through neighbors, the library, shops, and the church. We have a cozy garden and organize activities every day.

Description of duties

As a summer substitute, you will work with varied tasks. You play an important role in direct contact with our residents, providing personal care and service measures that make a difference in their daily lives. During each shift, you work to provide good care with great consideration for the residents' individual needs. You are expected to create and maintain good contact with residents, relatives, licensed staff, and other important contacts for the resident.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is 18 years or older and has experience working in elderly care. To succeed in the role, you must be able to communicate independently and fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing. This is to ensure patient safety and good documentation. It is an advantage if you are trained as a nursing assistant.

As a person, you can quickly change your mindset and attitude. You adapt easily to changed circumstances. Furthermore, you take initiative, start activities, and take responsibility for your work. You are also calm, stable, and composed in stressful situations. Last but not least, you have the ability to put yourself in someone else's perspective or situation without taking over the person's feelings.

Salary: Hourly wage.
