We operate primarily on the international market and have the capacity to produce 20,000 tons of high-quality steel per year. Our global presence enables fast deliveries.

Our goal is to continue developing market-leading products within our segment while contributing to growth in Norrbotten. Swebor has two production facilities, in Luleå and Jokkmokk. You will work with both facilities, with the main focus on the operations in Jokkmokk.

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer who wants to take a key role in developing and ensuring operational reliability in our production facilities. You will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and developing maintenance work with the goal of increasing availability, reducing unplanned downtime, and creating efficient and sustainable production. Through a systematic approach, you will contribute to increased profitability, higher facility performance, and a safe working environment.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will work both operationally and strategically. You will analyze operational disruptions, identify areas for improvement, and drive measures that strengthen the reliability of the facilities.

You will have a central role in planning and monitoring preventive and corrective maintenance, and you will be responsible for developing routines, processes, and methods within the maintenance area. The work also includes monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), handling spare parts, and participating in investment and development projects where new equipment is installed or existing facilities are modernized.

In this role, you will contribute to ensuring that operations are conducted with high quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Through technical competence, analytical skills, and a strong focus on improvement, you will create the conditions for stable and future-proof production.

Experience

We are looking for you who have a university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Technology, or Automation, as well as experience in maintenance work in a technically advanced industrial environment.

You have experience in maintenance work within industrial production and a good understanding of mechanical systems, automation, and industrial processes. We would appreciate it if you have knowledge of PLC systems and experience troubleshooting automated facilities. Experience in analysis work and monitoring KPIs is also important for the role. Additionally, experience with investment, improvement, or development projects is a plus.

As a person, you are analytical and solution-oriented with the ability to translate technical analyses into concrete improvements. You are proactive, work in a structured manner, and maintain your composure when the business requires quick decisions and problem-solving. Since the role involves collaboration, we see that you are communicative and find it easy to collaborate with both colleagues and suppliers. You have good communication skills in Swedish and English, both oral and written.

You will join our management team, and your direct manager will be our CEO. The position is located in Jokkmokk or at our headquarters in Luleå. We offer you a permanent full-time position.
