Our 1,800 employees work with primary care and health in Uppsala County. We offer a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centres or within habilitation services, and we provide advice by phone via 1177. Education, research, and development are important to us, as we tailor our offerings based on the needs of the residents. We already offer mobile teams, video visits, and smart e-services.

We are looking for a versatile General Medicine Specialist

Our team of 20 skilled specialists and resident doctors is looking for a new colleague. Welcome to Tierps Health Centre, one of the largest health centres in the country with a large and broad operation! We offer a permanent full-time position with an agreed start date.

Your role

With us, you will have a varied and stimulating job in close collaboration with all professions at the health centre. We are a large, stable, and experienced group of doctors with much collegial support and close collaboration in daily life. We have a structured way of working and a very good atmosphere in our teams with one hour of medical meetings every week.

Your tasks consist of reception work with scheduled visits; we have a clear booking structure, and you have the opportunity to influence your own schedule. Light acute visits, digital work from home, home visits, as well as assisting colleagues and students with your knowledge, including opportunities for supervising students and resident doctors (AT/ST). You will develop your own way of working, and there are good opportunities for further education. Based on your wishes, we also have assignments at MHV (Mental Health Visiting Service), BVC (Child Health Centre), and SÄBO (Service Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities).

As a health centre, we are the largest in the region with all conceivable resources (Ultrasound, X-ray/CT in-house, large lab, MVC, UM, BVC, proximity to NÄVE, SÄBO, etc.). The position of district doctor within Region Uppsala includes serving at our emergency clinics and standby clinics.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you with specialist competence in general medicine with Swedish licensure and good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing. You see the challenge and joy in following your patients through all ages of life.

As a person, you are good at planning, organizing, and prioritizing work efficiently. To be successful in the job, you must be flexible in your working methods. Your ability to collaborate and willingness to contribute to the development of the business will be of use to you with us.

Our operations

Tierps Health Centre is located between Uppsala and Gävle with good commuting opportunities. From Uppsala, both trains and buses run once every half hour during rush hour. The health centre is within walking distance from the station. We have approximately 19,400 registered patients, and we are approximately 100 employees working in teams with all services within the health centre's mission, including the emergency clinic. Our patients are both young and old and live in Tierp and the surrounding rural areas.

The health centre belongs to the Primary Care and Health administration in Region Uppsala. We want you to thrive and develop with us.
