Our Operations

On urology ward 50 C, patients with urinary tract diseases are examined, treated, and operated on. We are a surgical unit specialized in urology with both elective and emergency operations. Our elective care focuses on cancers of the bladder, prostate, kidneys, and testes. In the emergency flow, we handle major kidney traumas, acute bleeding, sepsis, and acute injuries to the penis and testes. We also operate on young adults with congenital malformations of the urinary tract. We work in teams together with the patient. This means we focus on the person's unique needs, resources, and experiences, not just the disease. In your work, you will meet patients of different ages and situations, where you help make a difference in their lives. The team on 50C consists of competent, friendly, and secure colleagues who will quickly welcome you into the group.

Your Role

As a nurse, you work in a team together with one to two nursing assistants. We collaborate closely with doctors, physiotherapists, dietitians, and pharmacists. The tasks are varied; routine postoperative care, admissions and discharges, emergency care, care planning, and interventions for patients with complex care needs. For support, you have our coordinating nurse who acts as a mentor and discharge coordinator.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, responsible, meticulous, and professional. You have previous experience in inpatient care or are a recent graduate, you thrive in a learning culture, and are innovative. You collaborate with others in a listening and respectful manner and are accommodating in your interactions. You are flexible and have a good ability to switch both pace and tasks when the situation requires. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of the development of our ward and who enjoys driving improvement work.
