What we offer you
You are an administrative assistant/catering staff member who wants to work at a pleasant school located in Älmsta, north of Norrtälje town. The kitchen prepares and serves approximately 300 portions daily for children from preschool to grade 9. Here, you work together with the cook and administrative assistant to serve delicious and nutritious meals every day. The kitchen is located at Elmsta School, where we also prepare food for other schools and preschools in the area.

The Assignment
We are looking for someone interested in preparing well-balanced meals for children and young people. We expect you to have an interest in food and be able to handle various parts of the school kitchen, including cooking, salad buffet, snacks, receiving goods, dishwashing, and cleaning the dining hall. Experience in cooking and knowledge of special diets are meritorious. The work involves serving students meals in accordance with municipal goals, working according to self-control routines, and possessing competence in hygiene. Responsibilities include serving breakfast and snacks, as well as dishwashing, cleaning, and assisting with all matters regarding food for the students. The position is a permanent part-time role with 87.5% hours. Our workday starts at 06:30, Monday to Friday.
What you need to bring
Requirements
- We are looking for someone with experience working in kitchens, preferably in school kitchens, large-scale kitchens, or restaurants. Cooking experience is mandatory.
- You are responsible, flexible, and have good teamwork skills. You work in a structured manner, have a welcoming attitude, and enjoy working in a team.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and self-control routines.
- Knowledge of allergies and special diets.
