The Elderly Sector in Kil Municipality is responsible for elderly care. The sector is also responsible for the delivery of all municipal healthcare, rehabilitation, memory teams, day activities, and support for relatives.

Do you want to make a difference this summer? We are looking for summer substitutes!

The elderly care department is seeking summer substitutes who wish to work night shifts during the entire or part of the June–August period. We offer scheduled night shifts during weeks 26–33 on a part-time or full-time basis. Those interested can also express interest in a hourly-paid fixed-term employment for the rest of the year (before and/or after the summer period).

Night elderly care is divided into home care and special housing (housing for the elderly). What all operations have in common is that many significant interventions are carried out for people around the clock, every day of the year.

In your work, you will meet different personalities of various ages and with different interests. You will provide support in the form of various assistance.

We are looking for assistant nurses and care assistants for:

  • Special housing in Grinnemo, Karlslund, and Korttiden.
  • Night patrol for customers in ordinary housing.

Working in the night patrol or at special housing involves independent and developmental work. You may work within Kil town, in the countryside, or on a ward at special housing. You can view the entire municipality as your workplace.

Job Responsibilities

You will receive a good introduction before the summer to ensure you feel confident in your professional role. When working, there will be an experienced colleague available to answer any questions. As a summer substitute with us, we can offer you varied, meaningful, and diverse work.

Your task is to provide good care and support together with other colleagues, and to activate and guide the individual based on their specific needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have education, experience, or interest in working within healthcare and social care. Merits include healthcare and social care education or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

We place great importance on your ability to collaborate well and your positive drive when meeting people who need support and help. You are flexible, responsible, and patient. You must be at least 18 years old. To perform the job, sufficient knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required.

A driver's license is required for the night patrol. Presentation of a driver's license is mandatory if employed in areas where a license is required.

Conditions

The number of positions and degree of employment vary according to need. It is important that you specify in your application which operation you wish to work in. Selection and interviews will take place on an ongoing basis.

For employment, you must show your professional license and an extract from the criminal record.
