About the Department

Imaging and Functional Medicine in Avesta is a modern and growing department with newly renovated premises and an expanded range of equipment (CT, MRI, ultrasound, and conventional X-ray). The team consists of approximately 30 employees and is characterized by competence, collaboration, and a strong sense of community.

Section Manager CT – Lead together, develop care, and make a difference every day!

Here, you will lead and develop the department together with a colleague, focusing on quality, patient safety, and a sustainable working life. As Section Manager, you work in shared leadership together with a colleague, the section's responsible physician, and the manager. You lead and coordinate daily operations with a focus on patients, workflows, quality, and patient safety.

Job Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include:

You play a key role in prioritizing radiology referrals and ensuring that the right patients receive care at the right time. Through a structured and patient-safe working method, you contribute to efficient workflows and optimal resource utilization.

You plan and prioritize operations, collaborate with other units in the county, and contribute to ensuring that the right patient receives the right care at the right time. You are responsible for quality and method development, drive improvement work, and contribute to developing working methods and technology.

You are also a key culture carrier and create a safe working environment. Together with the manager, you plan onboarding and contribute to long-term competence development.

The position is full-time, permanent as a Radiographer with a time-limited appointment as Section Manager (1–3 years). Working hours are primarily during the day, but evening and weekend shifts are included. Start date by agreement.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• are a licensed Radiographer
• have experience with CT (experience with MRI and conventional X-ray is meritorious)
