Do you want to work in an experienced team with a patient focus within hematology?

At the Hematology Clinic, we care for and treat patients with hematological diseases, primarily myeloma, lymphoma, and leukemias. The unit is divided into a doctor's consultation part and a day-care clinic part, staffed by nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors. As a nurse at the clinic, you work as a contact nurse as well as a treating nurse. Medical development within hematology is advancing rapidly, meaning the range of treatments is increasing and becoming increasingly individualized. As a nurse, you primarily administer cytostatics, monoclonal and bispecific antibodies, as well as transfusions and other medications. The operations are characterized by close patient contact and a person-centered approach.

The clinic collaborates closely with the medical clinic's research nurses who conduct numerous clinical studies within hematology, as well as with Ward 22, where hematology is one of three specialties.

At the Hematology Clinic, the nurse performs usual clinic duties such as telephone advice and their own nurse-led consultations with treatments including cytostatics, monoclonal and bispecific antibodies, inhalations, transfusions, gammaglobulin, bisphosphonate treatments, etc. A large portion of the patients have a central venous access device.

On the unit, nurses systematically work with health assessments to identify and assess needs and initiate individualized cancer rehabilitation interventions.

We want you to feel secure in your role while being challenged to grow. Therefore, you are offered an orientation based on your needs, a mentor with regular check-ins, an accessible leadership, and training in cytostatic handling (cytostatic license).

Opportunities for rotation to Ward 22 are available.

We are looking for a nurse for a fixed-term employment during the period 2026-08-10 to 2027-02-12, with a possible extension.
