Meals are prepared in the department kitchens, which contributes to a home-cooked feeling. The house is located near forests and green areas, providing opportunities for outdoor activities in the immediate vicinity.
About the residence
Ekbacken is a bright and fresh ground-floor residence with 32 apartments, divided into four residential units. The units are focused on dementia care.
- We are a dementia residence, so it is an advantage if you have experience with dementia and have worked with BPSD as well as based on the Dementia Academy's concepts.
- You have a team leader who spends most of their time working close to you in the operations. Becoming a team leader can also be a career opportunity for you as a care assistant.
- We work constantly to come up with new, exciting activities for our residents. For example, we have introduced VR technology that makes it possible to experience different travels, adventures, or games via VR goggles. Read more about Vardaga's VR initiative here: Around the world in 40 minutes.
- We have occupational therapists and physiotherapists employed who work close to the operations and hold training sessions on-site.
As a care assistant, you are incredibly important! Your task is to provide quality of life. With your help, our residents can maintain their lifestyle and habits. You see each person and interpret what they need. At the same time, you learn a lot about care, aging, and how to interact with people.
