About the RoleWe are looking for a nurse for rotation within adult psychiatric inpatient care. You are expected to be flexible, curious, and ready to adapt to new assignments with short notice, and to thrive in such an environment. The positions involve rotation between two locations: Falun and Säter. Nurses working as pool nurses within Länsvuxenpsykiatri receive a salary supplement of 4,000 SEK.
Länsvuxenpsykiatri Falun and Säter has a county-wide mandate within adult psychiatry, responsible for psychiatric emergency care, inpatient care, and care for harmful substance use and addiction. Within the clinic, the focus is on patients, their relatives, and employees. We strive to create high-quality, person-centered care together. We work based on evidence and proven experience, as well as regular training.
Our care units within Länsvuxenpsykiatri Falun-Säter:
- Ward 60, Falun, with 14 beds – a general psychiatric ward where patients are treated for various psychiatric conditions close to somatic care and for ECT treatment.
- Ward 65, Falun, with 14 beds – specialized in addiction care, where treatment is mainly focused on abstinence treatment for risky withdrawals. The ward has its own emergency clinic connected to the care ward.
- The Psychiatric Emergency Clinic in Säter, where you meet and assess patients' psychiatric conditions via phone and directly at the clinic.
- Ward 90, Säter, with 10 beds, treats patients with severe psychiatric symptoms who need intensive nursing care and monitoring.
- Ward 95, Säter, with 14 beds, is a general psychiatric ward where patients with various psychiatric diagnoses in a calmer phase, such as psychosis, personality disorders, mood disorders, and neuropsychiatric syndromes, are treated.
On the wards, work is organized in care teams around the patient, consisting of nursing assistants, nurses, and doctors. Access to counselors, psychologists, and occupational therapists is available through the clinic's treatment team. Good cooperation with municipal social services, primary care, and outpatient psychiatry is a success factor in the work. Here, you have the opportunity to provide care from a holistic perspective, where the staff, as a team, meets the challenges surrounding patients in acute crisis.

For those working within the Länsvuxenpsykiatri clinic, we offer adapted introduction, including:
- A structured, enhanced, and extended workplace introduction.
- Lectures and training days.
- Mentorship/guidance.
The work includes shifts during the day, evening, and weekends, every other or every third weekend, depending on agreement. You receive a permanent employment as a nurse at one of our care units (your home ward) and are appointed as a pool nurse for rotation between the clinic's units.
The clinic's staffing assistant covers vacancies with the pool nurse, who ensures their own transportation to the unit that needs staffing. If the pool nurse is not booked for a shift, they work for the day at their home ward.
QualificationsRequirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN).
Merits:
- Further education in psychiatry and/or addiction care and/or basic training in psychotherapy.
- Experience from previous work in psychiatry or addiction care.
As a person, you have:
- A genuine interest in caring for patients with mental illness, addiction, and comorbidity.
- The ability to handle even high-pressure situations professionally and with good customer service.
- Good communication skills, are positive, and contribute to good cooperation and a good working environment.
