The people you meet are of different ages and have different care needs. The need exists throughout Eskilstuna Municipality. This means we work both in the city and in the countryside. We work days, evenings, weekends, and nights.

You will be employed at one of our workplaces and receive either a schedule of approximately 75% or an hourly employment. Currently, hourly positions are primarily available.

Care and Support Housing

Here, people live in an apartment or a room where they can receive service and care around the clock. You work with providing care and support to those living here. There are different types of housing, such as elderly care, dementia care, and short-term care. The service group also belongs to Care and Support Housing. Solo work is common.

Home Care - Few positions left

Here, you provide support, personal care, and services in the clients' homes so they can continue living at home. You work within one of our areas where you cycle or drive a car. Home care also includes the night patrol.

Before your employment begins, you will undergo 1 to 2.5 days of training so that you feel secure when the summer job starts. This includes method exercises supported by a care teacher, specialist nursing assistant, and support pedagog.

From March 1, 2026, new legal requirements will apply, meaning we will request police certificates before employment can be offered.

Personal Assistance/Personal Assistance for Children - Few positions left

Here, you support a person with a disability to live the life they desire. This can range from care to leisure activities, depending on the person's needs, opportunities, and habits. You often work alone and on 24-hour shifts.

Social Psychiatry - Few positions left

Here, you work with supporting and motivating people with mental disabilities. This may involve individuals with anxiety, depression, and/or substance abuse issues. You can work in a residential facility, within the night patrol, or in clients' homes as residential support.

Support Service for Persons with Disabilities (LSS) - Few positions left

As an employee within LSS, you support adults with disabilities in their daily lives. You assist residents with everything from motivational conversations and activities to personal care. Always with a focus on creating security, independence, and a good quality of life.

LSS Children - Few positions left

Here, you support children and young people with disabilities either at home as a substitute/companion, in short-term care, leisure centers, or residential facilities, so they have a stimulating, secure, and developmental everyday life. Duties include care, household chores, and contributing to a meaningful leisure time. We work based on each child's individual needs and interests.

QUALIFICATIONS

To work with us, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Speak and write good Swedish, as it is important that you understand our clients and workplace routines.
• Have good experience with digital tools, as documentation is a significant part of the job.

For some workplaces, you also need:

• To be a trained nursing assistant (with a protected professional title).
• Have a B driver's license and your own car to get to work.
• Be able to cycle (applicable for work within home care).
• Speak Finnish.

It is an advantage if you have experience in care work or have worked with people with physical or mental disabilities.

Building connections with people comes naturally to you, and you enjoy talking to the people you meet. With patience and sensitivity, you listen to understand their feelings and needs. Initiative, keeping your promises, and good teamwork are also important qualities in you.
