Occupational Therapist at Primary Care Area South, Teg Health Centre

Primary Care Area South consists of the health centres in Teg, Hörnefors, and Nordmaling. This temporary position is based at Teg Health Centre.

One of our employees will be on leave for a period, and we are now looking for a replacement. We are looking for you who want to work in a stable area in central Umeå. Our catchment area has a mixed population from both the city and the countryside, and we have approximately 18,000 registered patients. We have good staffing across all professional categories at the health centre. We strive for a flat hierarchy in our workplace, as we know that everyone contributes significantly to ensuring that people registered with us experience that we offer them good care and advice. We have good cohesion at work and an engaged party committee, which means we have fun even outside of working hours.

Job Responsibilities

As an occupational therapist, you contribute your specific competence to increase the individual's independence and participation in daily activities.

The tasks are varied and consist of both teamwork and independent work, where the basis of the work is assessing abilities and skills in activities regardless of age.

Assessment and treatment of hand patients is a large part of the work, as is work with mental ill health. You collaborate closely with the psychosocial team, where the work is directed towards both adults and the first line of support for children and young people with mental ill health. Part of the work includes assessment and prescription of assistive devices. You are part of the dementia team and have your own role in investigations. Depending on your experience and competence, you are also part of the rehabilitation team for adults within the sick leave process.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist, preferably with experience and interest in primary care. You have a good ability to work in teams as well as independently. You are positive towards change work and actively contribute to a good working environment.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
