Rehabilitation (Habilitering) is specialized healthcare for children and young people with autism, intellectual disability, motor impairment, or acquired brain injury. We provide health-promoting and treatment interventions based on each individual's unique needs and conditions, and possess specialist knowledge of how disabilities can affect daily life, health, and development.

Description

We offer you, among other things, collegial supervision and development work with other psychologists within the Region Västra Götaland and Habilitering & Hälsa, where new treatments and assessment methods are constantly being developed. There are good opportunities for further education. External supervision is also offered.

We are now looking for a licensed psychologist for a permanent position at 100%. Welcome with your application!

Responsibilities

The psychologist's focus will be on assessment and treatment directed towards guardians and children, as well as consultation and advice for people in the child's immediate environment. Families in our patient group are usually followed over time, where we offer interventions when needs arise. The work places high demands on independence and flexibility. Interventions can be given individually or in groups during limited periods.

As a psychologist, you will be part of a well-functioning rehabilitation team where all professions contribute their expertise around the patients. Furthermore, the psychologist has an important task to provide information and help the patient increase their knowledge about their disability. There are good opportunities to choose a main focus, such as assessment or treatment. Supervision of psychology students and PTP (Postgraduate Training in Psychology) psychologists may occur in the operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist. Knowledge and experience of testing, neuropsychology, and cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as experience with the target group of rehabilitation, are highly meritorious. Good knowledge of the diagnoses intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, and/or motor impairment and needs related thereto is meritorious. Since the work involves collaborating with parents, different professional groups, and other healthcare providers, high demands are placed on social competence and teamwork skills. The work involves travel, so a B-driver's license is a requirement.

The rehabilitation unit has close cooperation with various operations within primary care, county hospital care, and regional hospital care. To achieve this, we need to practice evidence-based care but also dare to try new ways of working.
