We are now looking for an engaged employee for the Street/Park Unit – you who enjoy taking responsibility, collaborating, and contributing to safe, well-maintained, and pleasant environments for residents and visitors.

The Street/Park Unit is one of five units within the Municipal Development Administration in Tibro Municipality and is responsible for the municipality's parks, bathing areas, playgrounds, nature areas close to urban settlements, and larger green spaces. We work with the operation, maintenance, and development of Tibro's public environments, contributing to creating safe, well-maintained, and pleasant outdoor environments for residents and visitors.

The role of Park Worker suits you if you enjoy practical outdoor work and want to work with the maintenance, upkeep, and development of the municipality's parks, green areas, plantings, and other public environments. You don't need to know everything from the start – most importantly, you have an interest in outdoor environments, are curious to learn, and want to contribute to good results together with your colleagues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an employee within the Street/Park Unit, you contribute to making everyday life easier for Tibro's residents. Our operations exist for the municipality's residents and visitors, and together we work to create public environments that are safe, functional, and well cared for.

The work as a Park Worker is practical and varied. You will work with the operation, maintenance, and upkeep of the municipality's outdoor environments, for example:

• Parks, green areas, and grassy areas
• Flower beds, plantings, and other green environments
• Playgrounds, meeting places, and bathing areas
• Pedestrian and bicycle paths
• Fences, ground surfaces, and external maintenance at school and preschool yards
• Trees, bushes, nature close to urban settlements, and green areas
• Simple maintenance and construction work
• Maintenance and simple upkeep of equipment, tools, and facilities
• Machine operation and use of various tools and aids

The tasks vary throughout the year depending on the season, weather, and the needs of the operations. During the growing season, the work may, for example, involve planting, weeding, pruning, mowing, trimming, maintenance of flower beds, and other park-related tasks. During other parts of the year, the work may also include, for example, leaf management, winter road maintenance, anti-icing, simple maintenance, and other operational tasks within the unit's area of responsibility.

You work with both planned interventions and urgent measures. The work takes place in close collaboration with colleagues and sometimes in dialogue with residents, businesses, associations, and other actors. Here, you have the opportunity to develop in the role, contribute ideas, and make a concrete difference in Tibro's outdoor environments.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have experience with practical work and who enjoy working outdoors. This could be, for example, from park and green area maintenance, gardening, construction, property maintenance, farming, service work, or other practical operations. You do not need to have deep technical competence or experience with all work tasks. The most important thing is that you are practical, responsible, and have the willingness to learn new tasks. If you have experience with the maintenance of flower beds, plantings, green areas, or other outdoor environments, we view this positively.

• Category B driver's license
• Basic computer skills
• Experience with practical work
• Interest in work with parks, outdoor environments, and maintenance

Merits

• Education or experience within parks, gardening, construction, property maintenance, farming, or similar
• Experience with maintenance of flower beds, plantings, and green areas
• Plant knowledge or interest in plants and green environments
• Experience with machines and tools for park and outdoor environment work
• Experience with external ground maintenance at, for example, schools, preschools, or public environments
• Experience with simple maintenance or construction work
• Education or experience with brush cutters, chainsaws, or road work
• Knowledge of playground maintenance or playground inspection

Since the work takes place outdoors year-round, you need to enjoy working in different weather conditions and with physically varied tasks.

Salary: Monthly salary.
