RK Economy and Business, Administrative Department
We are looking for you who want to take a central and strategic management role in the Government Offices (Regeringskansliet), responsible for finance, procurement, tendering, and accounting in a complex and socially vital operation. Here you will have the opportunity to drive development and digitalization in a role with significant influence and broad responsibility.

RK Economy and Business is one of several units within the Administrative Department and has just under 50 employees. The unit is divided into three sections: Procurement Section, Payment Section, and Accounting EA Support. There is also a staff support function within the unit. The unit is responsible for strategic and operational procurement work within the Government Offices and for ensuring that tenders are conducted correctly and efficiently. The unit is also responsible for preparing the Government Offices' annual report and other financial reporting, as well as ensuring that payments are made correctly and efficiently. Our workplace is located in central Stockholm.
As Head of Unit, you are responsible for the unit's matters and for contributing to the Government Offices' compliance with external and internal regulations within its area of responsibility. The role also includes responsibility for the development, support, and management of support systems within the unit.
Furthermore, you are responsible for planning, steering, and budgeting for the unit, and you develop and quality-assure the administrative support that the unit delivers to the rest of the Government Offices' operations. The role requires close collaboration and good relationships with other units and departments within the Administrative Department, with the ministries, and with external suppliers. There is a strong focus on digitalization and efficiency. You are part of the Administrative Department's management group.

Your background
We are looking for you with an academic degree in economics, law, or another relevant field, who has management experience in procurement, tendering, accounting, or economic administration, as well as experience leading a complex operation in a larger organization. You have several years of current management experience from the public sector with responsibility for budget, results, and personnel, and are accustomed to leading managers and acting as a sounding board by coaching and supporting your reporting managers. Furthermore, you have experience in development and change work within the public sector, for example within digitalization, as well as relevant knowledge in economics and in procurement, purchasing, and contract law. You have excellent ability to express yourself correctly and structured in speech and writing in both Swedish and English.
It is meritorious if you have completed management and leadership training or other relevant education within the field of operations. Experience of working within a state authority is also meritorious.
