Our Operations

This role is ideal for you if you enjoy variety, diversity, and want to learn new skills. Ward 85F2 is a surgical care unit focusing on plastic and jaw surgery as well as burn care, all under one roof. We treat both adults and children, with a mix of planned and emergency patient intake. Patients requiring highly specialized care are admitted from our own county, the region we serve as a university hospital, from across the country, and even from abroad.

We offer varied work with challenges and great stimulation that contribute to the development of your skills. In our specialty, functionality is restored after, for example, tumor diseases, severe body injuries such as burns, and congenital malformations. The reconstructive plastic surgery at Akademiska Sjukhuset is recognized as one of the leading centers in plastic surgery both nationally and internationally.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse with an interest and preferably experience in surgical care for both adults and children. You will work night shifts, which requires you to be confident, independent, and capable of taking responsibility. There is a plastic surgical primary on-call service stationed at the hospital at night, as well as an on-call service from home. You are driven and curious as a person. You are comfortable bearing responsibility and can adapt easily. Previous experience in surgical care and pediatric care is meritorious but not a requirement.

What We Offer

We offer a permanent position as a nurse, night shift. The extent of employment is negotiable. Salary and start date are by agreement.

You will receive a 6-week orientation period together with a supervisor. The introduction will be adapted to your prior knowledge so that you feel secure in your role with us.
