About the Company

The company is one of Sweden's leading firms in qualified sheet metal and metalworking, with specialized expertise in manufacturing high-temperature components for the aerospace and energy sectors. Their primary specialty is the production of parts for energy generation and the process industry, but they also manufacture components for several other sectors where requirements for precision, durability, and lifespan are extremely high.

The client is now seeking a structured and technically skilled Production Planner/Estimator for their CNC department. The role focuses clearly on production planning and ensuring efficient workflows from order to finished product. You will be responsible for ensuring the right competence is available at the right time and that production can proceed according to plan.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you are responsible for the production planning of the CNC department and work daily to ensure that production is correctly planned and that jobs are feasible based on resources, machines, and capacity. The work includes:

Production & Planning

• Plan and monitor staffing, resources, production flows, lead times, and capacity based on the production plan and utilization.
• Ensure the right competence is on the right machine and shift, and identify and handle resource shortages and personnel-related bottlenecks when necessary.
• Work closely with production and team leaders to ensure jobs start on time and are executed efficiently.
• Work in Monitor G5 for production planning, monitoring staffing, utilization, and results, as well as supporting the startup of new jobs.
• Participate in improvement work and the development of working methods within production.

Estimating & Calculation

• Work with estimating and production calculations by calculating job requirements, assessing setup time, cycle time, and machine needs, while ensuring realistic and feasible calculations.
• Monitor results against calculations, update times as needed, and support the quotation process when required.

The focus is on production planning, resource management, production flows, and costing. At the same time, you need to have a good understanding of CNC production and how workshop flows work in practice.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with experience in CNC machining who understands how a CNC workshop functions in practice. You have previously worked with production planning, resource planning, costing, or similar tasks in the manufacturing industry.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• Experience with CNC machining in turning and/or milling.
• Experience in production planning and resource planning.
• Experience in calculating jobs and working with production calculations.
• A good understanding of production flows and the workshop environment.

Meritorious Qualifications:

• Experience with Monitor G5.
• Experience from job shop manufacturing (contract manufacturing).
• Knowledge of cutting technology and production optimization.
