Do you want to work with product development in a technical environment where you can combine design, problem-solving, and practical engineering? We are now looking for a Mechanical Designer for a small technology development company where you will help develop products from concept to finished solution, working closely with electronics and software developers.

About the Role

As a Mechanical Designer, you will become part of a cross-functional development team consisting of electronic engineers, software developers, and project managers. You will be responsible for the mechanical design in projects and work closely, especially with the electronics team, to ensure that mechanics and electronics function together in the best possible way.

The work is primarily carried out in SolidWorks and involves designing products made of metal, plastic, and wood, among other materials. A large part of your day-to-day work will involve developing smart mechanical solutions where circuit boards, displays, and other electronics need to be integrated into the products. Projects vary in scope and duration, providing a varied daily routine with many different technical challenges.

The role is primarily focused on design and CAD work, but you will also have the opportunity to follow products through the development process and participate in the creation of prototypes.

Requirements

• Education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar
• Experience in mechanical design
• Good knowledge of SolidWorks or Creo
• Fluency in Swedish and/or English (written and spoken)

• Practical technical background from workshops, manufacturing, or similar
• Knowledge of CNC machining or CNC preparation
