The group is responsible for developing and maintaining applications and services that support operational, investigative, intelligence, and forensic systems with information and functionality. The area covers systems that require high competence to handle both new development and maintenance of complex solutions under strict security requirements.

The team is located in Norrköping and consists of 13 employees, 10 of whom are software developers. Most of the developers work in full-stack, where we value having space for preferences in either frontend or backend. We develop our systems in Java with Spring Boot and Java EE, and TypeScript in Angular.

Job Description

In this role, you will work in an stimulating environment with broad technical scope, developing solutions within information supply, media file management, planned crime prevention, and communication systems. Through close collaboration with operational police, you translate their needs directly into functional technology and coordinate integrations with other agencies, providing a unique insight into socially vital operations.

Your main responsibility covers the entire stack with backend in Java and frontend in Angular within a cross-functional team. The focus is on delivering stable systems that meet the Police's strict security requirements, ensuring long-term maintenance, and raising the team's collective competence through active knowledge sharing.

  • Work on new development and maintenance of existing systems.
  • Responsibility for areas such as architecture and code quality.
  • Contribute to the team's competence development through knowledge sharing.
  • Translate complex needs into secure and sustainable technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with other teams and external agencies.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you if you have:

  • Post-secondary education in IT, or work experience that the Swedish Police Authority deems equivalent.
  • Several years of work experience in software development that the Swedish Police Authority deems relevant.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish.
  • Swedish citizenship.

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • Work experience in frontend development, preferably within Angular or similar frameworks deemed relevant by the Swedish Police Authority.
  • Work experience in software development with one or more of the following technologies:
  • Spring Boot
  • Java EE
  • MySQL
  • Cypress
  • Work experience in a similar role within public operations or a government agency.
  • Experience from working in an organization with high security requirements.
