About Bergby Centralskola

Bergby Centralskola, together with Tröjde, Björke, and Milboskolan, belongs to the Bergby Principal Area. The school is located in Bergby in the scenic Hamrånge area, approximately 3.5 miles north of Gävle City. Bus connections to the city are good, and we have a significant number of commuting staff. The school is a grades F-9 school with approximately 300 students and around 40 staff members distributed across three work teams. We have good cooperation within the principal area and share a common planning model and a developed systematic quality work process. In recent years, the school has been expanded with several new classrooms, teacher workrooms, and a new large activity house containing a library, gymnasium, and after-school center.

About the Position

You will play a key role in creating an inclusive and supportive school environment where every student feels seen and encouraged to reach their full potential. We believe that strong relationships between teachers and students are the key to both better health and increased learning. You will work on building trust and engagement, as well as creating an environment where every student feels seen and valued.

We use Unikum for planning, assessment, and communication with guardians. We have a developed systematic quality work process where we follow up on results together regarding knowledge, security, study environment, and absenteeism. At Bergby Centralskola, we work to ensure that all students gain increased motivation and a strong drive.

Responsibilities

As a teacher at Bergby Centralskola for grades 4-6, you will work with:

• Teaching, having class responsibility, as well as responsibility for mapping, planning, implementation, and evaluation of lessons.
• Mentorship.
• Working together with your colleagues to create a good, enjoyable, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus.
• Work is performed according to decided goals and guidelines.
• Challenging and supporting students so they achieve good academic results, adapting your teaching based on all students' needs and prerequisites.
• Collaboration with other educators, student health services, guardians, and other actors outside the school.

In accordance with Gävle Municipality's values, you have a good manner of treatment, a good ability to collaborate, and care about high quality in your work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with:

• A teaching degree and teaching certification with eligibility to teach in grades 4-6.
• Familiarity with, and knowledge of, the compulsory school curriculum.
• The ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of, and experience with, working with digital tools, for example, documentation in Unikum or Office.

The final candidate must be able to present a police certificate of good conduct (belastningsregister) for work within school or preschool. This should not be attached to your application.

Employment Type and Working Hours

Employment type: Permanent position.
Working hours: Daytime.
