Job Description
We are now looking for an experienced and engaged Technical Manager for Land/Road/Street to join our team. As Technical Manager, you will play a central role in the planning, design, and execution of road, land, and street projects. You will lead the technical group and ensure that our projects meet the highest technical standards while being delivered according to customer requirements and expectations. Assignments vary from smaller local projects to more complex assignments spanning several years. You are responsible for the budget, schedule, and quality of the technical area.
You have good knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Novapoint and are well-versed in AMA (Swedish construction contract terms).
As part of our team, you will actively participate in the design and layout of land, street, road, and other infrastructure facilities. You are responsible for ensuring that projects follow all relevant technical standards and regulations, which is crucial for delivering high-quality solutions.
You will also collaborate closely with other disciplines and stakeholders to create integrated and sustainable solutions that meet project needs. Your role includes monitoring and evaluating the technical execution during the project to ensure everything proceeds according to plan and that quality is maintained.
Furthermore, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with our customers and partners, which is central to driving projects forward. Your drive and engagement within AFRY's network for land, street, and road projects will be an important part of your role and contribute to both your and the team's success.
You will be based at one of our offices in Luleå or Piteå.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a high school, university, or civil engineering education with a focus on civil engineering, or equivalent, as well as at least 3 years of experience in design and technical management within land, street, and road projects. You have documented experience in leading and developing technical teams. You have good knowledge of economics and business acumen and experience in managing budgets and resources with sound financial insight.
Furthermore, you have relevant knowledge of legislation, standards, and technical guidelines that govern work in these areas to ensure that projects follow current regulations and maintain the highest possible quality.
Language skills are also important, and you need to have good knowledge of both Swedish and English to communicate with both national and international parties.
It is an advantage if you have previous experience with sourcing. We also appreciate that you have experience working with sustainability issues as this is an important part of the work for long-term success.
As a person, you easily create engagement and collaboration within a team and are skilled at steering work towards set goals. You have strong communication skills and can clearly convey information to different stakeholders. Your ability to collaborate with other disciplines and external parties ensures that projects are carried out smoothly and efficiently, resulting in integrated and sustainable solutions.
