Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is a big task. Contributing to societal development is even bigger. With us, you get to do both. We are expanding our operations and need more people in Kiruna. Therefore, we are looking for an additional project-leading foreman for our operations and construction activities in Kiruna. Your role as Foreman
As a foreman, you will work with varied projects focusing on our construction, operations, and maintenance work. You will have a central and project-like role where your main task is to be responsible for the entire process, from careful planning and resource allocation to execution and follow-up of the work we perform. The role of foreman does not include direct personnel responsibility; however, you play a key function for our professional employees and act as the coordinating contact for our subcontractors. Furthermore, you support the site manager in daily tasks such as customer contact, production control, economic follow-up, and invoicing.
Here, you have the opportunity to combine operational responsibility with strategic planning, while ensuring that your projects achieve set goals with high customer satisfaction. During certain periods, the work may intensify, and you will handle multiple units and work teams simultaneously, requiring good prioritization skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
The position is full-time. You are based at our establishment in Kiruna and report to the site manager. On-call duties may apply. At Svevia, we use individual salary setting. Start date is by agreement.
Who are you?
To succeed in this role, we consider the following requirements essential:
- Category B Driver's License
- A background characterized by an interest in working with construction and roads
- Good computer skills and an interest in digital working methods and processes
- Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written
We consider the following qualifications advantageous:
- Experience in construction projects / road operations and maintenance
- Experience in concrete work
- Experience from a responsible position in a similar industry
- Relevant post-secondary education, such as from a university or relevant vocational higher education (YH)
