Job Description

As part of our expansion in the Water Business Area, we are now looking for more experienced Water and Wastewater (VA) designers to join Networks and Strategy, covering the regions of Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Jämtland, Västernorrland, Dalarna, and Gävleborg. The role involves working on projects within the field of water and wastewater distribution systems, including pump stations and other distribution facilities. As a VA designer, you will work with preliminary studies, system documents, detailed design, preparation of construction documents, and support during the construction phase. There is also an opportunity to develop within strategic VA assignments such as stormwater investigations, VA plans/strategies, VA tariffs, and legal matters. The specific tasks depend on your experience and the areas you wish to develop in.

The assignments will be local and regional, and you will collaborate nationally with other consultants within AFRY. Our customers are private, municipal, and state-owned.

In this position, you will work on assignments throughout the country, and travel is involved.

You will be based at one of our offices in Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Jämtland, Västernorrland, Dalarna, or Gävleborg. Please specify your preferred location in your application.

Qualifications

As a person, you are curious and interested in your technical field, and you have energy and drive. You find it easy to understand and participate in technical discussions and thrive in a fast-paced environment characterized by strong growth.

We are looking for both those who have at least 6 years of work experience as a designer within the described VA area and those who can lead less experienced designers in projects as the technical lead.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and value engagement and the ability to collaborate with others.

Educationally, we expect you to have a relevant degree or have acquired equivalent skills through experience in the industry as a consultant, contractor, or from municipal water and wastewater operations.
