Lumire, Luleå Miljöresurs AB, is a municipal company for water and wastewater, waste management, recycling, and reuse. We have approximately 240 employees who ensure that all residents of Luleå have access to clean drinking water and that waste and wastewater are handled in a sustainable and circular manner.

By consolidating water and waste issues within the same company, we are a strong player in environmental technology and urban development – and a key part of Luleå's green transition.

About the role
Luleå is facing extensive societal development with major expansion plans in both industry and housing construction. This entails many exciting and complex challenges within the water and wastewater sector.

As a VA Engineer with us, you work on projects from early investigation phases to completed facilities. In the early stages, you are responsible for investigating, analyzing, and proposing suitable technical solutions. As projects move into design and construction phases, you participate as the technical lead and support the project managers.

In this role, you will among other things:

• Be responsible for water, sewage, and stormwater investigations
• Serve as project and technical lead in various types of VA projects
• Manage and monitor VA issues in the early stages of planning and construction processes
• Design and dimension water, sewage, and stormwater systems, including pumping stations and pressure boosting systems

You will become part of Lumire's development section, where you will have a role that allows you to influence direction and turn ideas into practical solutions.

You will join an operation with a clear focus on development, innovation, and collaboration.

Lumire participates in several research projects and has close cooperation with Luleå University of Technology. We are part of, among other things, the research cluster Dag & Nät, the competence center Drizzle, and the innovation program Water Wise Societies.

Who are you?
We are looking for you who have a few years of experience within the VA sector or equivalent in another industry and wish to drive development forward.

We see that you have:

• A technical higher education or university degree relevant to the position, or other education/experience considered equivalent
• Experience from the VA sector or related operations

It is meritorious if you have experience in any of the following:

• Municipal VA operations or project-based work as a consultant, client, or contractor
• Investigation and design within the VA sector, as well as experience in hydraulic dimensioning of water, sewage, and stormwater
• Experience in designing and dimensioning pump and piping systems in industry or similar
• Experience in ground engineering
• Good understanding of planning processes

As a person, you are driven, structured, and thrive in a role where you take responsibility and collaborate with others. You actively contribute to dialogues and see the big picture in complex issues.

You have good communication skills and can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
A valid B-driver's license is required for the position.
