Do you want to lead the work at one of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority's (FI) units within the Insurance area and coordinate the area's quantitative analyses? The Risk Supervision division is now looking for a Unit Manager who has experience in leadership and coordination of audit or analysis work, and who wants to develop in an exciting leadership role.
About the job
The Risk Supervision division is responsible for solvency supervision of insurance and occupational pension companies and groups. This includes ensuring that the companies and groups meet the statutory solvency requirements, have satisfactory control over insurance and investment risks, and have a satisfactory capital base. The division also participates in the area's supervisory process, including through quantitative and qualitative analyses, as well as risk assessment, planning, and implementation of supervisory activities.
As Unit Manager, you have personnel responsibility and lead the work at one of the division's units, Insurance Analysis. The unit is responsible for supervisory activities towards smaller and medium-sized companies. The focus of your role involves coordinating the unit's work with analysis, data, regulations, licensing matters, and sustainability/climate risks.
The role of Unit Manager includes assisting the Division Manager with the overall management of the division and being a member of the division's management group.
You will participate in the area's supervisory and case committees, as well as in the FI's Supervisory Council. The role involves collaboration with other areas within the authority.
In your role as a manager, you lead, support, and create good conditions for your employees' results and development, including through clear goals and ongoing follow-up. You develop the operations strategically and long-term based on FI's overall goals, and work for the whole and collaboration across operational boundaries.
We assume that you have a strong interest in leadership issues and in developing in your role as a leader. We offer you leadership training to give you the prerequisites for success in your leadership.
Your education and experience
We are looking for you who have
- A degree from a university or college in IT, economics, statistics, mathematics, or mathematical statistics
- In-depth knowledge in one of the area's areas of responsibility: market risk and investments, capital base, or insurance technical provisions and capital requirements for insurance risks
- Understanding of the risks that affect an insurance company's financial position
- Previous experience in leadership
- Experience in coordinating audit or analysis work
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is meritorious if you have
- Education in the insurance sector and/or in leadership
- Knowledge of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority's mandate
- Knowledge of the regulations governing the insurance and occupational pension industry
- Understanding of how the Act on Financial Supervision governs the FI's work
- Previous experience in a similar managerial role
- Experience in handling license applications.
About you
In this job, you need to
