Here we work in a cross-professional manner with the patient in focus. Our team consists of nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, care assistants, doctors, and psychologists. We are one of four outpatient clinics in Karlstad, and all work with all types of diagnoses. At Clinic 4, we are conducting long-term change work with support from healthcare management, focusing on the patient's journey within healthcare and the employees' working environment. It is an exciting journey ahead where you, together with us, will have the opportunity to influence the clinic towards Modern Healthcare Leadership.

We are now starting work with "Model Area," where Clinic 4 in Karlstad is the first in psychiatric outpatient care. The approach within modern healthcare leadership is based on starting on a small scale and working practically in depth to gradually build experience and capability.

Modern healthcare leadership involves a partially changed leadership style, where the focus shifts from traditional control to a more supportive and coaching leadership close to the operations. The starting point is to understand how the work functions in practice and to continuously develop the operations together with the employees.

Your Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you will meet patients for follow-up of, for example, medication and mental well-being, as well as when initiating medication. We also have an advisory telephone staffed by nurses daily between 9:00–11:00. You will also participate in treatment conferences and, if necessary, in external meetings regarding our patients.

The work also involves handling incoming cases via the 1177/Vårdguiden e-service "Contact Us," as well as staffing the care neighbor telephone on certain days. Patient care is primarily individual, but there is also the possibility to work with group treatments.

In addition to clinical work, nurses play an important role in creating structure, continuity, and accessibility in the clinic operations. By working proactively and person-centered, they contribute not only to better medical results but also to increased patient satisfaction and security.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with experience in psychiatry and have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. A B-driver's license is required, as travel may occur in the position.

To thrive with us, you need to be a team player who can also work independently. You have a desire to find solutions and help others. You are structured, can plan and prioritize your work, and maintain calm even in pressured situations.

Specialist competence in psychiatry is meritorious. It is also meritorious if you have previous experience of both outpatient and inpatient care within psychiatry, or other experience of the target group considered equivalent.
