About Vikingaskolan

Vikingaskolan is characterized by good academic results and a social environment that both staff and students appreciate and help maintain and strengthen. Vikingaskolan and Lillhagsskolan are located in Bomhus, which belongs to the Lillhagen principal's area. We have good cooperation within the principal's area and use Unikum for planning, assessment, and communication with guardians. We have excellent rooms for textile crafts and close collaboration with colleagues.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher in textile crafts for years 3-6, you are responsible for teaching in the subject as well as the pedagogical work in your student groups. You work based on the curriculum's goals and current regulatory documents and actively contribute to creating a safe, creative, and educational learning environment where student development is at the center. You will work mostly at Vikingaskolan and approximately 1 day a week at Lillhagsskolan.

The assignment includes planning, implementing, and following up on teaching, as well as adapting methods and content to students' different needs and prerequisites. Together with colleagues, you work for a stimulating and varied school day that sparks a desire to learn and contributes to good study results.

The responsibilities include:

• Teaching textile crafts in years 3-6.
• Being responsible for mapping, planning, implementation, and evaluation of teaching.
• Working for a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Adapting teaching based on students' individual prerequisites and needs.
• Challenging and supporting students in their knowledge development.
• Collaborating with student health services, guardians, and external actors when necessary.

Qualifications

You as a teacher have a natural aptitude for leading and motivating students and create an environment where they thrive and feel good. You create clarity and predictability to give each student the right prerequisites to develop according to their ability.

We are looking for you with:

• A teacher's degree and teacher certification with eligibility to teach in primary school in the subject of textile crafts.
• Knowledge of the curriculum for primary school, which you maintain in your work.
• Good skills in working with digital tools in teaching and planning.
• The ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

To succeed in the role, you are:

• Good at leading, motivating, and creating a pleasant and inclusive learning environment.
