The Department of Odontology provides education for dentists, dental hygienists, and dental technicians at both basic and advanced levels. All educational programs lead to a professional degree as well as a general degree. The department also conducts research and doctoral education within dental science.

The department collaborates with Public Dental Health Care West Sweden in the clinical part of the basic education and in clinical research.

Job Responsibilities

The position involves research and doctoral supervision within oral health, with a specific focus on issues of clinical patient-relevant relevance to promote good oral health and prevent the development of oral/periodontal disease.

Qualifications

A PhD in dental science and documented research experience within oral health, with a specific focus on issues of clinical patient-relevant relevance to promote good oral health and prevent the development of oral/periodontal disease, is required.

Clinical experience as a licensed dental hygienist and experience in doctoral supervision are meritorious.

Personal qualities will be given great weight.

Employment

The employment is a fixed-term position, until 2027-08-31, at 20%, located at the Department of Periodontology, the Oral Health Unit, the Department of Odontology at the Sahlgrenska Academy, Gothenburg University.

Start date according to agreement.
