Welcome to Enköping Hospital – Big care in a small setting!
Here, around 700 dedicated colleagues work in an environment where close collaboration and community are second nature. We are located in an expanding region with convenient commuting options to Stockholm, Uppsala, and Västerås. For those considering moving to live close to work, the Enköping region has much to offer. The hospital provides acute and planned care for approximately 72,000 residents in Enköping, Håbo, and Södra Heby, and we also have specialist responsibilities throughout Uppsala County. Here, you can make a difference – for the patients and for the organization – in a work environment where we continuously develop together. Do you want to become part of our team? You are warmly welcome to Enköping Hospital!
Our Operations
The Orthopedic Rehabilitation Ward works from a person-centered and rehabilitative approach. The starting point here is the meeting with the patient. We are now looking for a new colleague who is passionate about teamwork, focusing on each patient's unique conditions and personal goals.
We are an inpatient ward for patients with orthopedic diagnoses who have additional needs for care and rehabilitation following, for example, trauma, fractures, or prosthetic surgeries. Lengths of stay are typically between seven and ten days and are adjusted according to the patients' needs. We have twelve care beds on the ward, divided into two teams, with six patients in each team. Teamwork is central to the ward, enabling a holistic view of the patient, individualized measures, and promoting patient safety.
We focus on healthy work schedules and hours, developmental team rounds, person-centered care, daily management, and more. We work to streamline discharges and actively collaborate with our colleagues at the rest of the hospital, Uppsala University Hospital, and in the municipality.
Your Role
As a nurse with us, you play a key role in the team. In addition to the usual tasks included in a nurse's role, you will also;
- Have motivating conversations with the patient.
- Be involved in the patient's nursing and rehabilitation.
- Lead the morning rounds.
- Evaluate incoming referrals.
- Coordinate with other professions at the hospital as needed.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a registered nurse. We prioritize if you have experience working in a hospital. You appreciate varied work, want to influence and develop operations, and are an engaged and positive colleague who contributes to a good work environment. If you like working in teams from a person-centered approach where the patient is involved in their care and rehabilitation, you are warmly welcome to apply.
What We Offer
We offer a permanent position at 100% (or part-time) with a start date as agreed. The duties are scheduled during days, evenings, and weekends. Here, you receive benefits that make a difference, read about the benefits here (https://regionuppsala.se/formaner/ (https://regionuppsala.se/formaner/)).

Uppsala County mobilizes all permanent staff based on the needs of the total defense. This means no obligations for the individual employee in peacetime but is solely a planning measure.
Before a decision on employment, a check of suspicion and criminal records is conducted for all job seekers who, in the sought position, may come to work within psychiatric care, habilitation, care of children and youth, or compulsory care of addicts, areas covered by facultative record extracts. This thus applies to all who will work close to patients, even if the tasks at present are not intended to mainly contain work with the aforementioned patient groups.
