About the role of Cook

We are looking for several cooks to work in preschools, primary and upper secondary schools, as well as restaurants, banquets, conferences, and a range of other exciting events. In short, as a cook with us, you will have the opportunity to work at numerous different workplaces within both the public and private sectors in the Stockholm region – all through a single employer, Miljonbemanning!

Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing meals (including special diets, allergy-friendly meals, and texture-adapted meals) and other routine kitchen tasks.
• Serving breakfast, preparing lunch, serving snacks, serving dinner, and banquet service according to the menu.
• Handling and implementation in accordance with the Food Act and HACCP guidelines.
• Receiving and unpacking goods, as well as placing orders when necessary.
• Preparing the dining area for service and tidying up afterwards; serving food if required.
• Dishwashing and cleaning.
• Cardboard and waste disposal.
• Ensuring the kitchen is clean, tidy, and ready at the end of the workday.

Who are you?

• You are over 18 years old.
• You have education within the hotel and restaurant industry with a focus on cooking or equivalent culinary training.
• You have prior experience in restaurant work.
• You have the ability to plan and structure work efficiently.
• You take responsibility through your passion to maintain a high level of service and quality in your output.
• You understand your importance in the satisfaction of both students and guests.
• You are positive, stress-resistant, and have good collaboration and communication skills.
• You can take initiative and are flexible in your professional role.
• You speak and write Swedish.

Other Information

This is a fixed-term position with the possibility of extension for ambitious candidates. Your schedule will be flexible, with shifts ranging from 07:00 to 23:00, Monday to Sunday. However, your shifts will not exceed 8 hours.
