The Leisure and Youth Unit is one of four units within the Culture and Leisure Department. The unit's areas of operation cover civil society and association life, sports, facilities, the Leisure Bank, local booking, and youth issues.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for one or two engaged and responsible supervisors to lead holiday workers in park environments between June 8 and August 14. The work begins with a one-week introduction. We prefer that you can work the entire period, but we are also open to part-time work for at least 4 weeks. We recruit on an ongoing basis, so please submit your application as soon as possible. Please state in your application which period you are available to work. The position is daytime, Monday to Friday, in the park environments in the city center. On rare occasions, work and activities may also take place in rural areas.

As a supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting and guiding holiday workers in organizing and leading meaningful cultural and leisure activities for children and young people during the summer. You will work in park and outdoor environments, contributing to creating memorable and fun experiences for our young participants. • Plan and carry out leisure activities together with holiday workers for children and young people.
• Guide and support holiday workers through a coaching approach to facilitate their development.
• Ensure that activities are carried out in a safe and responsible manner.
• Make the park a lively, inviting environment that encourages an active community.
• Collaborate with other supervisors and staff to ensure good and quality operations.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a leadership role, is meritorious.
• Pedagogical education or leadership training related to cultural activities or physical activity with a focus on children and young people is meritorious.
• You are flexible, solution-oriented, and willing to share your ideas.
• Good communication skills, empathetic, and able to inspire and motivate others.
• Responsible and reliable with a genuine interest in outdoor work.
• Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with others.
• Basic knowledge of first aid and lifesaving is meritorious.
• Category B driver's license is a requirement.
