We are now looking for personal assistants for two 15-year-old twin sisters in Örnsköldsvik. In this role, you will work with both twins, who have extensive support needs and require assistance with all aspects of their daily lives.

About the position
Personal assistance is a service under the LSS Act (Act on Support and Service for Certain Functionally Impaired Persons). The customers' individual needs dictate the workday, and the work may include assistance with mobility, personal care, as well as daily chores and activities both inside and outside the home.
The sisters have different interests and personalities, making the work both enjoyable and varied. One girl is a huge hockey fan who loves going to matches and is generally open to most things. The other twin prefers a calmer pace and enjoys relaxing on the sofa and watching her tablet.
Who are you?
The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is crucial that there is good personal chemistry between you and the customer.
Requirements for the position:
- Ability to provide a certificate of good conduct (required as the customers are under 18).
- Tolerance for pets (there is a dog in the home).
- Good proficiency in Swedish.
Merits for the position:
- Experience working with children/young people.
- Experience with tube feeding.
- Experience with epilepsy.
- Previous experience working with individuals with CP (cerebral palsy) or similar physical disabilities.
- Shared interests with the customers.
Personal suitability will be given great weight.
Working hours, extent of employment, and salary
We are looking for someone who wants to work a summer temporary position with an extent of approximately 70% (averaging 28 hours/week) during weeks 27 and 28.
Working hours are scheduled during the day and evening, both on weekdays and weekends. Shifts vary and might look like this:
09:00 – 16:45
09:00 – 19:00
10:00 – 20:00
We would appreciate it if you could start working extra as an hourly substitute now, so you can complete your introduction well before the temporary position starts in week 27.
Introduction and employment type:
Before the temporary position starts, you will receive a paid introduction/onboarding. The employment type for the summer temporary position is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts".
Before the temporary position starts, you will undergo a paid introduction/onboarding. During the onboarding period, you will receive an agreement for a "fixed-term hourly employment" with a set end date.
Continuation after summer? After the summer temporary position, there are very good opportunities to continue working with the girls in a permanent rostered position (employment type: "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts").
Night shifts will be added to the autumn schedule. Working hours will then vary and be primarily scheduled for evenings and nights, both on weekdays and weekends. Day shifts on weekends and school holidays. Note that night shifts involve "waiting time / sleeping on-call". The extent of employment for autumn is not yet fully fixed; you will receive more information about this from your nearest manager during the process.
We are also looking for hourly substitutes!
In addition to the summer temporary position and an upcoming permanent rostered position, we are also looking for you who only want to work extra when needed. As an hourly substitute, you step in in cases of illness or leave (employment type: hourly employment).
Fixed hourly wage according to agreement, and other benefits are paid according to the collective agreement.
