The Emergency Department plays a crucial role within Region Norrbotten, receiving patients of all ages with acute illnesses and injuries. As a nursing assistant, you are a central part of the team, working closely with nurses and doctors in acute care. The role contributes to our 24/7 operations by requiring a minimum of two weekend shifts per month.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for you who are a qualified nursing assistant or who have progressed significantly in your nursing education. Previous experience from an emergency department or hospital care is meritorious but not required, as well as knowledge of the care system Cosmic. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. As a person, you are responsible, structured, flexible, and have good teamwork skills. You have an interest in emergency care and patient-facing work, and you treat patients and their relatives with respect and empathy.

What You Will Be Working With

Your tasks may include, among other things:

• Nursing care and handling of acute patients.
• Measurement and documentation of vital parameters.
• Sampling and assisting with examinations and treatments.
• Preparing care stations, cleaning and service tasks, as well as transport and other practical tasks within the department.

Information About the Position

The employment is fixed-term for the summer of 2026. Degree of employment and start date are subject to agreement. Working hours are primarily scheduled during days and evenings, Monday to Sunday. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements.
