On the operating department in Karlstad, you will be part of an experienced team working with both planned and emergency surgery in a technologically advanced environment, where every role plays a significant part in the patient's journey through the operation.

Your Workplace

The AnOpIVA area of operations includes surgery, anesthesia, intensive care, sterile technology services, post-anesthesia care, and the Pain Center. The operating department in Karlstad has 20 modern operating rooms. We perform both elective and emergency surgeries and operate 24/7. In total, we have approximately 140 employees.

Your Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a nursing assistant who wants to contribute to the development and improvement of the operating department in Karlstad. As a nursing assistant here, you are a vital part of the surgical team. You work closely with scrub nurses, anesthesia nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians in the operating room. You assist with sterile setups, receive and prepare patients for surgery, and play a key role within the operating theater. The work is varied, educational, and technically stimulating. You will work with both planned and emergency surgeries.

Your Skills and Competencies

You are a qualified nursing assistant with experience from inpatient care or emergency healthcare. Personal qualities such as good teamwork skills, flexibility, and a positive attitude towards colleagues and patients are highly valued. We also appreciate commitment and curiosity. Experience working in an operating department and/or specialized training in surgical care is advantageous. Selection and interviews take place continuously throughout the application period.
