On the operating department in Karlstad, you are part of an experienced team working with both planned and acute surgery in a technologically advanced environment, where every role is significant for the patient's journey through the operation.

Your workplace

The AnOpIVA business area includes surgery, anesthesia, intensive care, sterile technology operations, post-anesthesia care, and the Pain Center. The operating department in Karlstad has 20 modern operating rooms. We perform both elective and acute surgeries and operate around the clock. In total, we have approximately 140 employees.

Your responsibilities

We are now looking for a nursing assistant who wants to help develop and improve the surgical operations in Karlstad. As a nursing assistant with us, you are an important part of the operating team. You work closely with the scrub nurse, anesthetist, anesthesiologist, and surgical technician in the operating room. You assist with sterile setups, receive and prepare patients for surgery, and play a key role within the operating theater. The work is varied, educational, and technically stimulating. You work with both planned and acute surgeries.

Your skills and competencies

You are a trained nursing assistant with experience from inpatient care or emergency care. Personal qualities such as good teamwork skills, flexibility, and a positive attitude towards colleagues and patients are highly valued. We also appreciate commitment and curiosity. Experience working on an operating department and/or specialized training in surgical nursing is advantageous. Selection and interviews take place continuously during the application period.
