About Us

The Pain Clinic in Sörmland provides county-wide outpatient services, located at Nyköping Hospital. At the clinic, we work in teams providing multimodal rehabilitation at a specialist level (MMR2). We are currently looking for a physiotherapist who wants to help develop our operations while making a real difference in patients' daily lives.

The goal of the rehabilitation is to create conditions for patients with chronic pain to achieve lasting change that enables increased function, activity, and participation in society. In addition, we provide medical treatments at our clinic. Some of our staff are also engaged in research.

Your Responsibilities

We offer a workplace focused on development, collaboration, and quality, where you have the opportunity to influence and shape your work based on your competence and interests. Here, you will work with patients who often have complex issues involving both physical and psychological factors. We work from a person-centered and biopsychosocial approach, where the patient's own goals and resources are in focus. Treatments are provided both individually and in groups. This may include various physiotherapeutic approaches such as movement and function analysis, exercise-based rehabilitation, manual therapy, pain education, as well as physical and behavioral medicine strategies. Work with trauma-related issues may also occur.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist and who have experience with, or a strong interest in, working with chronic pain. The role involves responsibility for assessment, treatment, and follow-up, with room to use and develop your own areas of competence within physiotherapy.

You have a broad perspective on rehabilitation and feel confident meeting patients with varying needs. If you have in-depth knowledge in areas such as pain physiology, exercise, manual therapy, behavioral medicine, trauma, or other relevant fields, it is an advantage. We also value the desire to continue developing and place great importance on personal qualities such as creativity, flexibility, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. As a person, you are sensitive, engaged, and have a good ability to build trusting relationships. You enjoy working both independently and with others, and are happy to contribute to an open and learning climate within the group.
