About the job

Do you want to contribute to us using AI to develop our services, increase our analytical capabilities and make operations more efficient?

At the Swedish Transport Administration (Transportstyrelsen), we are at the beginning of our AI journey and several initiatives are underway so that in the coming years we can take advantage of the opportunities that can be created with the help of AI. An important piece of the puzzle is the internal AI lab that we are currently setting up to test and evaluate different AI applications.

We are therefore looking for a Business Developer for the AI lab who will play a central role in translating business needs into prototypes, evaluating solutions and taking the solutions that create value into operational use. You will be part of a team in one of the agency's product areas where you work together with other business developers, product owners, architects and developers using agile methods. You will also have close collaboration with the cross-functional grouping within the agency that develops routines and working methods to ensure that AI work is carried out in a safe and responsible manner. Since the activity is completely new, you will have a central role in building up the AI lab.

You will be part of the Development and Management section together with approximately 15 colleagues with different roles within the product area Common Functions. The section's employees are located in Örebro and Norrköping.

You will

• participate in the work of building up the AI lab and establishing working methods for the lab's continued work
• dialogue with different business areas and translate their needs into solution proposals and prototypes
• test and evaluate different solutions, technologies and working methods within AI
• develop and manage the solutions that create lasting value
• collaborate externally with other agencies
• contribute to the development of other automation solutions, such as RPA
• contribute to us using AI as a natural part of the work
• contribute to the department's development and other assignments.

You must have

• an academic education of at least 180 hp (120p) in a field relevant to the position or other equivalent experience that the Swedish Transport Administration considers comparable
• current multi-year experience of business development and digitalization
• good understanding of a data-driven approach and different technologies within AI, such as machine learning and generative AI
• knowledge of regulations regarding information security, data protection and AI.

It is meritorious if you also have

• experience of establishing lab or test environments
• experience of working according to agile methods
• experience of change management
• experience of working in public sector operations.

More information

The employment is permanent with placement in Norrköping or Örebro. Appointment according to agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. We offer remote work based on operational needs, up to 3 days.

An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security investigation with register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be carried out. For some of our security-classed tasks, Swedish citizenship is required.
