About the Role

This is a direct hire position, meaning the recruitment process is handled by Academic Work, but you will be employed directly by the client company.

Our client is a growing company with approximately 50 employees. Although the company does not currently have a formal IT department, you will become part of a broader and cohesive Operations team consisting of seven employees. In this role, you will be the company's first dedicated IT resource and will have broad responsibility for ensuring a stable and well-functioning IT environment. You will work closely with the business operations and be a key figure in structuring future IT work.

The role is operational and varied, combining daily support with longer-term improvement projects.

Responsibilities

In the role of Junior IT Technician, you will work broadly within IT support and administration. Your main responsibilities include:

• Provide first-line support to colleagues regarding computers (PC/Mac), phones, and peripheral equipment
• Manage the procurement, installation, and lifecycle of hardware such as computers and mobile devices
• Ensure that new employees have the correct equipment and permissions from day one
• Administer subscriptions and inventory IT equipment
• Document and develop IT routines and simpler policies
• Work with basic IT security
• Assist with practical office-related tasks, such as setting up workstations and meeting room technology

You will also collaborate with an external IT partner for more complex issues.

Who We Are Looking For

• Post-secondary education in IT, such as networks or support
• Approximately 1–3 years of experience in IT support
• Good familiarity with working with both hardware and software
• Fluent in Swedish (written and spoken) and good knowledge of English

Meritorious Qualifications

• Experience in creating simpler IT routines or working in a broad role within a smaller organization.
