We currently have a great need to hire more substitute kitchen assistants for work in schools and preschools. We offer work on weekdays (Monday–Friday) during daytime (approx. 06:30–16:00), and some evenings and weekends may also occur.

As a substitute kitchen assistant at BILDA, you work in the kitchens of a preschool or school. In schools, it is usually a larger kitchen with several people working together, whereas in preschool kitchens, you usually work together with a cook. You are responsible for independently or in collaboration with other staff preparing and serving lunch to the students. Occasionally, other meals such as breakfast and snacks are also included.

In some kitchens, food is prepared from scratch, while in others, it is only a matter of heating up pre-cooked food. You are also responsible for keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, which includes dishwashing and wiping down surfaces.

BILDA has a collective agreement, offers an introductory training, and provides ongoing coaching support and dialogue with an assigned contact person at BILDA.

To work as a substitute kitchen assistant, you need:

• Experience working in a kitchen
• Food hygiene training
• Interest in food and cooking
• Flexibility and attentiveness
• Fluent Swedish in speaking and writing
• Ability to travel approx. 1 hour to your assignment
