You will contribute to complex detailed planning work where new development must be weighed against high cultural-historical values, environmental issues, and requirements for careful development. The assignment covers two specialist tracks: archaeological preliminary investigation with impact assessment, as well as strategic environmental assessment with environmental impact assessment. Depending on your profile, you can enter as a project leader or case handler within one of the areas.

The environment is characterized by culturally and historically valuable buildings, nature values, and sensitive conditions for future development. This places high demands on analysis, clear trade-offs, and advisory services throughout the entire planning process. You work closely with the planning function and other involved parties, from early materials and consultations to final decision-making documents. This is a role for you who wants to influence how complex planning issues are translated into well-founded and sustainable decisions.

• You analyze existing conditions and assess the consequences of planned development within your specialist area.
• You report on cultural values, qualities, and characteristics, and identify value carriers in buildings and the environment.
• You assess the impact on cultural-historical values and propose measures that can reduce negative consequences.
• You advise on the design of the detailed planning proposal and, when relevant, propose what should be protected through planning regulations.
• You lead or contribute to strategic environmental assessment, prepare materials for scoping, and participate in consultations.
• You coordinate environmental issues together with the planning architect and participate regularly in work meetings related to the detailed plan.
• You complement and deepen investigations throughout the process, including prior to adoption and in the event of appeals.
• You produce high-quality written reports and materials, and if necessary, map materials according to geodata requirements.

• You have documented experience working with archaeological investigations and impact assessments or environmental assessments and environmental impact assessments.
• For project leadership responsibility, you have at least 9 years of documented experience in conducting archaeological investigations and impact assessments or environmental assessments and environmental impact assessments.
• For case handling responsibility, you have at least 4 years of experience in a similar assignment.
• If you work within cultural heritage, you have a good understanding of the Planning and Building Act's rules regarding distortion and care, as well as relevant recommendations in the field.
• If you work within environmental assessment, you have experience with strategic environmental assessment in accordance with the Environmental Code and the Planning and Building Act.
• You can work independently, contribute to dialogues on risks and consequences, and translate analyses into clear decision-making documents.
• You can participate in meetings both on-site and remotely, as well as conduct site visits as needed.
