The Department of Economics at Stockholm University is responsible for the university's economic management, accounting, economic administrative processes, and system administration.
We are now looking for a System Administrator who wants to play a key role in managing and further developing the university's economic systems in close collaboration with the operations.
We are in a development phase with increased digitalization and an upcoming procurement of new economic administrative systems, where you will have the opportunity to contribute both in daily work and in larger change and development initiatives.

Responsibilities
In this role, you work closely with operations to identify needs, provide user support, and contribute to the development of the university's economic systems and working methods.
You work on capturing needs from operations and translating them into improvements in systems and processes. The work is carried out in close cooperation with colleagues within the Department of Economics, the IT Department, and other parts of the university.
You participate in development and change work, for example through requirement specification and prioritization of improvements.
Stockholm University actively works to digitize and automate its processes, where you contribute to the ongoing work.
The Department of Economics currently manages the economic system Raindance and the procurement system Kommers eLite. The university is facing an upcoming procurement of new economic administrative systems, where you will be involved.
You will
- work with system administration of economic administrative systems
- contribute to the development of economic administrative systems and working methods
- document incidents, routines, and working methods in the system
- collaborate with system suppliers and handle supplier contacts
- provide user support and conduct training within your area of responsibility
- participate in collaboration groups internally and externally as needed
- work closely with the IT Department on issues related to system development and changes.
Qualifications
You may, for example, have worked as a controller with an interest in systems, or as a system administrator with a focus on economic administrative processes. The role suits you if you enjoy working close to operations at the intersection of economics and systems.
Requirements
- Relevant university education in, for example, systems science, economics, or equivalent.
- Experience of working with economic processes combined with system support.
- Experience with economic administrative systems.
- Experience of working in larger organizations or complex operations.
- Understanding of how economic systems can support business development and efficiency.
- Understanding of business processes and a structured working method.
- Ability to analyze needs and translate them into requirements or improvements.
- Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
Merits
- Experience in a similar role within the public sector, for example, university, college, or agency.
- Experience with economic systems, for example, Raindance.
- Experience with procurement systems, for example, Kommers e‑lite.

About the employment
The employment is permanent on a full-time basis with a six-month probation period. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date by agreement.
