As a project manager, you contribute to a robust road and railway facility that enables travel and transport for thousands every day, all year round.

Job Description

The Infrastructure Systems Project Unit is one of six project units within the Western Maintenance Region. The unit is responsible for technical systems related to roads and railways and runs projects to continuously maintain, manage the lifecycle of, and develop existing equipment. As the West Link (Västlänken) is completed, the Infrastructure Systems unit will take over and manage facility components, including VA and ventilation systems such as dewatering systems, heating/cooling, fire suppression systems, general ventilation, and smoke evacuation.

The scope of the position will be adapted to the section's needs in connection with the handover of the West Link. This means that the person taking up the position will participate in and be responsible for parts of the role's design. This implies that you will have great opportunities to participate in and influence how parts of the role are shaped.

As a project manager, you will, for example:

• Contribute to and support the organization in designing maintenance for the received facility. (initially the central station, then the entire West Link)
• Manage and lead contracts for operation and maintenance as well as reinvestment.
• Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with current laws, regulations, and internal work instructions.
• Participate in the development of business plans and forecasting.
• Be responsible for continuity and safety work for current systems.
• Be responsible for preventive and proactive work regarding product vulnerabilities and risk analyses.

As a project manager, you work together with your team on projects from planning, through implementation, to completion, with a focus on VA and railway ventilation, although other types of technical systems or facilities may also be included in the area of responsibility. You are responsible for and drive designated projects within the current technical area, but will also support other projects to maintain the set goals for the Swedish Transport Administration's facilities and operations.

This means that you have financial responsibility for the projects and continuously monitor the operations against set goals regarding time, cost, and content. This includes planning, budgeting, and conducting procurement, as well as monitoring and managing contracted contractors and suppliers.

We are looking for you who have

• A university or college education with a technical focus (180 ECTS) or equivalent work experience
• Several years of current experience in project management/project control regarding industrial/process plants, infrastructure, or construction/real estate, with responsibility for business, forecasting, and cost monitoring
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Driver's license for passenger car

It is meritorious if you have current experience working with

• Large ventilation systems including smoke evacuation
• Large VA systems for handling e.g., sewage/surface water, preferably also pumping stations
• Creating organization, monitoring structure, and working methods from scratch, e.g., within the framework of a more comprehensive project or administration operation
• Calculation, forecasting, and cost monitoring related to contracting activities, as a client or contractor
• Handling procurements and contracts according to general provisions (AB/ABT, ABFF is particularly meritorious)
• Leading and organizing in public operations, where you have worked e.g., in accordance with LOU (Public Procurement Act)
