We are now looking for an IT Contract and License Specialist for the Digitalization Department.
About the job
You will be responsible for ensuring that Linköping University is correctly and optimally licensed regarding the software and cloud services used, as well as for processes and guidelines concerning the use of software. In your daily work, you will handle questions related to license and software management. You will also be responsible for contracts with license resellers and for following up on deliveries against contracts and orders.
As an IT Contract and License Specialist, your tasks will include:
- Collaborating within the Digitalization Department to develop the common IT delivery.
- Having ownership of certain LiU-common software and services (applications/cloud services) including lifecycle management for these.
- Being responsible for routines and processes for license management, as well as license cost allocation models needed for the re-invoicing of central license costs to other parts of LiU.
- Mapping and monitoring the authority's licenses and license usage, and based on this, providing recommendations for actions to achieve cost savings, risk reduction, and reduced administration.
- Assisting in procurement work, conducting simplified procurements, and conducting or assisting in negotiations with suppliers.
- Following up on deliveries against contracts and orders.
- Providing support and advice to LiU's operations in the area of IT contracts and licenses.
- Working with environmental scanning and representing the authority in national license collaborations.
About you

We want you to have:
- Certification in the field, for example through IAITAM (International Association of IT Asset Managers), or equivalent education or certification.
- Good technical understanding of client environments in Windows and macOS, as well as knowledge of common management platforms, such as Intune, Configuration Manager, and Jamf.
- Several years of work experience in the field of license supply.
- Good knowledge of LOU (the Public Procurement Act).
- Good skills in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Knowledge in relevant areas (contract law, GDPR, Schrems II, etc.).
- Experience with the license models of major software vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe).
- Experience working with complex license agreements (e.g., licensing of virtual environments, cloud services, and similar).
- Experience leading contract negotiations.
