Do you want to make a societal impact and strengthen Sweden's collective ability to handle cyber threats? The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is now looking for a Cybersecurity Specialist to participate in building up the centre's operations at the Swedish Defence Intelligence Agency (FRA). Your assignment

As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will work at NCSC within the Office for Capability Development, Partnerships and Systematic Cybersecurity. The office is tasked with strengthening and coordinating society's cybersecurity by serving as a national meeting place and contact point for collaboration, partnerships, and information exchange. The office's mandate includes strategic analysis, regulatory and governance work, support and funding, competence-building measures and exercises, as well as national, EU, and international collaboration. The office also plays a supporting role in cyber crisis management.

You will belong to the unit for systematic cybersecurity work, where your main tasks will primarily involve:

  • Analyzing and structuring complex information from regulations and standards.
  • Writing guidelines, fact sheets, and recommendations.
  • Developing content for web-based training and other educational initiatives.
  • Compiling and presenting analyses, recommendations, and decision-making materials.
  • Participating in working groups and collaboration forums on cybersecurity and contributing knowledge about the CRA (Cyber Resilience Act).
  • Contributing to remiss work and the development of NCSC's support and communication in the field.

You can

We are looking for someone who has:

  • An academic degree in areas such as information security, IT and systems science, law, political science, or another area, or equivalent experience deemed comparable by the employer.
  • Several years of experience in technical development, cybersecurity, information security, certification, or another related area.
  • A good understanding of EU regulations related to cybersecurity.
  • Very good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in both Swedish and English.

We consider the following to be meritorious:

  • Experience in analyzing and translating regulatory requirements, standards, or governing documents into practical support.
  • Good knowledge of relevant standards for the field, e.g., ISO/IEC 27000 series, ISO/IEC 62443, ETSI EN 303 645, EUCC certification and product security, secure development according to t-ex Secure SDLC and OWASP principles, standards for vulnerability management and CVD.
  • Experience working within government agencies or other public sector operations.
  • Experience in practical work with cybersecurity-related EU regulations and standards.
  • Experience in practical work with relevant standards for the field and experience following the development of standards and certification schemes within the EU.
  • Experience in developing secure digital products, e.g., standard configuration, vulnerability management, incident reporting, security updates, and lifecycle management.

The workplace is currently located in Tomteboda, Solna. New premises are expected to be ready in Bergshamra within a few years. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security classification. A requirement for employment is a successful security investigation with register check. The security investigation will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment entails an obligation to be mobilized in wartime.
