Divisional Controller (Business Controller) with a focus on project monitoring

We are currently looking for a Divisional Controller for an exciting consulting assignment with our client in the advanced industrial sector. About the role:

As a Divisional Controller, you will be part of the finance function and work closely with a business-driving division with its own profit responsibility. You will become a key person in the operation and an active member of the division's management team.

The role involves close collaboration with managers and project leaders, where you support economic decision-making and contribute to creating a deeper understanding of business and profitability.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Analyze the division's profit development and prepare decision-making materials
• Drive improvement initiatives related to profitability and goal achievement
• Be responsible for financial monitoring, budgeting, forecasting, and closing
• Support project leaders in project monitoring and project management
• Contribute to developing business understanding within the operation, especially in complex flows

Requirements:

• Degree in Economics or equivalent education
• 3–7 years of experience working as a business controller or in a similar role
• Experience with project monitoring and financial planning
• Good understanding of both financial aspects and project management
• Excellent proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with financial systems such as Unit4/Agresso, Mercur, or IFS
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
